There are probably millions of books on weight loss. They all seem to say the same thing in different ways – eat less, move more. Sounds so simple, yet…
One of my favorite books is Michael Pollan’s Food Rules. It is a slight book – not really a diet book at all. It is so clever though and also makes you chuckle as you go through it.
“Eat only foods that will eventually rot.”
“Don’t ingest foods made in places where everyone is required to wear a surgical cap.”
“If it came from a plant, eat it; if it was made in a plant, don’t.”
The book is filled with simple statements like these and make so much sense.
I think if we all did what he says in this book – we would all be our ideal weight.
